The 2016 VFBV Volunteer Welfare & Efficiency Survey is now open - CFA volunteers are invited to take the survey by clicking on this link
www.vfbv.com.au/survey2016.php
The survey is an annual snapshot of volunteer
opinion, which includes 33 questions on issues chosen by volunteers, and a record 2,500 volunteers took part last year.
It is now in its fifth year, and VFBV, CFA and Government study each year’s results to see trends in volunteer opinion on those important issues.
The survey is divided into seven themes: Respect and professionalism - My role as a volunteer - Cooperation across CFA - Support from CFA - Training by CFA -
Recruitment and retention, and People management, My Brigade.
The survey takes 10 to 15 minutes. It helps to equip VFBV to advise CFA and Government with facts and figures that focus attention on what’s important to volunteers.
This year the survey is also being run nationally and across other emergency service volunteers in Victoria so the end results will provide a very powerful insight into the views of volunteers,
please encourage any emergency service volunteers you know to take part too, all other versions of the survey can be found on the
VFBV website
It has the
support of the Emergency Management Commissioner and we provide a presentation on the results to the Minister for Emergency Services. Volunteers’ comments are confidential, but the results go straight to the decision makers.
The survey is open until 29 August, and if you have any questions, feel free to visit the
VFBV website, talk to a VFBV State Councillor or call the VFBV office on (03) 9886 1141.
